2009 Rogue jolt
my 2009 Rogue has symptoms consistent with Service Bulletin NTB10121, but that bulletin wasn't issued on this car.
Has anyone experienced this 'slight hesitation' the bulletin talks about? How did you fix it? The dealer insists it's not the CVT, and has changed the strut mounts and the spark plugs... The symptoms have not changed. This wasn't noticeable before ~60k miles. Now at 63k. |

Is this an ongoing problem with Nissan? I drove a 2015 Quest this weekend that had the same slight hesitation a couple of times...

I guess no one wants to talk about this?
Meanwhile my Rogue seems to be getting worse. I still can't decide if it feels like engine hesitation or stalling, or if it's someplace else in the drivetrain. It happens mostly at low speeds with slow acceleration. The engine is smooth sitting at idle in park. But sometimes has this hesitation behavior just putting a load on it - putting it into gear. |

hmmm... today the CEL went on, P0301 code. Finally some evidence that points somewhere ->engine misfire. Now to go dig into that!

Since the plugs were already replaced, it could be due to a bad ignition coil. You can swap the coil with another cylinder and erase the codes. If the code resets on the other cylinder, then you know it the coil, itself. If not, you'll have to look for a possibly injector or mechanical issue.

It only does it when I accelerate, and usually a gradual acceleration. Or when I put it in gear at idle.

Hesitating problems
Ok the reason I asked is because I had a VW that was doing similar, hesitating when starting oiut and when coming to a stop. Once engaged it worked fine. ...Turned out to be a CVT transmission issue and a very expensive one at that. Being out of warranty. I just traded the car in. I hope that is not what is going on with your vehicle.

When this first started a couple of months ago, we took it to the dealer. I thought it might be related to the Rogue CVT issue, but the dealer insists it's not the CVT... I'm still not convinced.
thanks! |
