I don't want to keep going back to the dealership for oil changes...when I do go there...what type of oil are they putting in???
It isn't synthetic is it???
I just want to put in the same type of oil.

The factory recommend just regular 5W-30, but you can use synthetic as well. Depending on the dealer, they may use 5W-30 or 5W-20. Check you las receipt or lube sticker to find out what type of oil they are using.

We use synthetic blend 5w30. We can buy it cheaper than regular 5w30.

Does it matter if the last oil change was done with synthetic and I use regular oil,..or visa versa??????
Will it harm the car to go back and forth???

No it will not harm the engine. Both oils are compatible with each other.

I know honda uses 5-20 but my Nissan manual says 5-30 is recommended.
Wouldn't a 20 grade oil which is 33% thinner viscosity help contribute to a mechanicle failure?
