Default Error Code PO455

I have been getting this chech engine light for the past couple of weeks. I used my Auto Xray anylizer and found that the code is PO455 (EVAP leak). I have since tried replacing the gas cap based on past experience. The light comes back on. Any ideas?

P0455 is for Evaporative Emission (EVAP) control system gross leak detected. More information here: Nissan OBD-II Trouble Code P0455.

Did you used a factory gas cap?? if you did and you are sure the cap is OK, the you need to inspect the EVAP system for leaks. Check all the hoses around the evaporator.

Here is a bulletin that may help you diagnose the problem: Knowledgebase - 2008 Rogue - Nissanhelp.com Forums

Put the original gas cap back on and replace the vent control valve on the evap canister.

Yes, I picked up a Factory gas cap. I just had a 60,000 mile check up and NYS inspection.
