am i confusing? when i read situation again, i asked this to myself once more when you ask.
stock size is 215/60/16 but dealer has 215/65/16 right? 215 is same so width is same. if this is situation tire thickness will be more because that 65 is the percentage of tire width( percentage of 215). so if diameter is bigger because of tire thickness, acceleration will be worse but top speed will be more 215/60 has 12.9cm thickness 215/65 has 14.0cm thickness so diameter is more. for comparison purposes Tire size calculator here is basic tire info related to numbers "Tiny Tears" Teardrop Trailer Technical Tips Page --- i own a xtrail, i have 215/70/16 tires but stock is 65. my acceleration worse than 65s. car is higher that 65s.
