will a bad ign relay allow cranking with no fire?
re the title--can this occur or will a bad relay not allow the engine to turn over? is this the relay beside the driver side fuse panel? how do you get to it-remove lower dash panel? release is on side away from fuse panel

As far as I know the with a bad ignition relay the engine will crank but wont start. If is no cranking at all you may have another problem.

thanks for the reply. it cranks but has no fire at plugs. I can't get my hand into the relay ( beside the fuse panel on dr side of dash isn't it?) does the dash panel come of easily?
