Default 2000 Quest ... Overheating

Had a radiator hose blow, changed it and now it overheats on start up

What is the correct procedure to bleed the air out of the radiator?

Should the thermostat be changed and/or the radiator cap?

Thanks!

Yes, I do recommend replacing both, specially the thermostat.

To bleed the system do the following.
  1. Let the engine cool down.
  2. Raise the front of your Quest.
  3. Start the engine,
  4. Carefully remove the radiator cap.
  5. Turn the heater system ON.
  6. Rev up the engine to 2000 RPM every 10-15 seconds
It's better if you use a funnel. Place the funnel on top of the radiator and keep adding coolant as it needed.
