Default 04 Quest - Oil Cooler Gasket (replacing)

Can anyone tell me how to replace the Oil Cooler gasket (o-ring) on a 2004 Quest? What tools will I need? Anything special I need to be aware of?

Thanks in advance!

Not really.Just your basic metric wrenches/socket set. It's really easy to do.One thing to remember is the cooler has a notch and tab so make sure you make this alignment or the o-ring will not seat properly.Good luck on your little project and let us know how it went.

Default Job completed! Thanks for your help.

Everything went smoothly. The only tool needed was a 22mm deep socket to remove the oil cooler.

I have an oil leak. Based on research, it looks like its a normal problem with Nissans that oil leaks and this is due to the oil cooler gasket. Is that true? What else could be causing the oil to leak. When there isn't a lot of oil in the van it makes a knocking sound.
