Default Hello, I am new and have a couple questions

Good morning (EST) everyone. I have a 2006 Quest base model with the V6. About 8 months ago I hit the bottom going into a parking lot and dented the Cat Con. The dealer replaced it and a couple months later I'm noticing that the engine surges when I get on the accelerator. It doesn't seem to be all the time but more often than not. I've never changed the plugs or air filter or done any other maintenance than the oil changes every 4k miles or so. I have ~30k miles and we are gearing up for a trip to Disney (from Md) so I want to get it running smooth before we go. Could the surging be something as simple as the air filter being dirty? I'm not getting any engine codes.

Second problem is I feel a rubbing like feeling in the gas pedal almost like the wheels aren't spinning freely. I replaced the pads front and back and that didn't help. It's like a grinding but not a serious grinding if that makes sense. Kinda like a scraping or something but with no noise and felt in the gas pedal.

I found the thread last night regarding the window going up and coming back down. Thanks for that, I'm going to do that next weekend. Is the door panel hard to remove?

Thanks!

Tim
