Gas Pedal Sticks
Anyone else have trouble with their gas pedal? On my '04 it sticks slightly. I have just a little bit of trouble getting going when at a stoplight or when I first pull out of the driveway in the morning. It's not terribly dangerous but sometimes I have to press the pedal hard and the car lurches forward wasting gas. My Father's Xterra does the same thing. I put WD40 on the joints of the pedal in the truck and I tried lubricating the cable from under the hood.

Are you sure their is no obstruction (floor mat, etc.) between the pedal and your floor board?
Also, jump over to this thread (about sticking gas pedal). http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/pathf...-throttle.html |

Looks like the link in that forum for the TSB has been moved. Do you know what the solution was?

Throttle body needs cleaning.

Nissan does not seem to adjust the throttle stop correctly at the factory for several models. I had the problem with my 99 Quest from the beginning when I bought it new. Cleaning the throttle body was no help. I just unlocked the throttle stop lock nut, turned the stop screw 1/4 turn clockwise and locked again. Did not change the throttle speed but the problem is gone!
