P1147 HO2S-12 (Bank 1 Sensor 2) Rich Shift Monitoring (Bank 1) '02 MAXIMA

I just had this error read after I was driving my vehicle @ 80+ mph to test to see if I got a error code after installing 3 of the 6 new spark plugs I got. The 3 that were installed are the 3 are the 3 closest to the radiator.

P1147 HO2S-12 (Bank 1 Sensor 2) Rich Shift Monitoring (Bank 1)

What is this and how do I fix it?

This is what my report from y OBD2 reader pulled up:

you should have changed all 6 sparks thats what recommended by the manual and while u are doing it might aswell do the other side which is a lil harder. thats your 02 sensor i got a chart on which one it is, but im sure the Nissan Specialist has the diagram for u check this out 2000 – 2002 NISSAN MAXIMA; MIL "ON" WITH REAR O2 SENSOR DTC P0138/P0139/P0140/P0158/P0159/P0160/P1147/P1167

Your 02sensor has failed and needs to be replaced. also you will have to have a nissan dealer determine if you need to have the ECM reprogrammed ( done by VIN#) .I dont understand why you didn't replace the other spark plugs if you were trying to determine if the problem was resolved. There were some issues with 02 sensors on that model along with coils going bad,so let a nissan tech resolve your problems. PS. i hope you installed NGK spark plugs in your Max. Good luck.

Ok thanks. The reason I didn't replace the back 3 (the ones under the intake manifold) is because I didn't want to remove the manifold and risk messing it up.

Thank you both for your insight and I had already planned on getting the others installed by a mechanic.
