What is leaking, power steering fluid? You should thoroughly clean all the leaked oil, add new oil and the start the engine. If the leak is as severe as you state you should have no problem tracing the origin of the leak.

Oil Leak

Found this info when surfing

You can pinpoint these leaks without leak-detection dye, but everyone I interviewed agreed that using the stuff with a black light definitely simplifies troubleshooting here. Warning: You don't want to misdiagnose an O-ring leak on the Altima because replacing it is an all-day job!

Typically, the leaking O-ring will cause a steady drip-drip-drip of oil down along the cover-to-engine block seam. Unfortunately, the power steering pump obscures most of this seam. Some techs recommended running the engine and raising the car on a lift. If you look straight up at the seam, you should be able to see the oil from the bad O-ring coming down toward you. Another clue is that the face of the front cover will be clean, while the O-ring area and back will be wet with oil.

When in doubt, remove the power steering belt, unbolt the power steering pump and move the pump just far enough away so you can see the area of the O-ring better. Flush off the area in the vicinity of the O-ring and start the engine. Typically a bad O-ring will allow oil to ooze out immediately. Shut the engine off as soon as you see the oozing oil because the water pump won't be running (it shares the same drive belt with the power steering pump). If the O-ring is leaking, replace it with Nissan Part No. 150665E500.

Watch out for oil tracks above this O-ring, because they usually mean the oil separator shown in photo 1 is leaking. Nissan says the easiest way to pinpoint a bad separator is to run the engine for a minute or two, shut it off and watch for oil leaking down afterward. What's more, Nissan cautions against trying to reseal the epoxied-on flat cover of a leaking oil separator. Just replace the entire separator with Part No. 11830-1E401.

The Altima's PCV valve threads into the oil separator (photo 1). As with any oil leak diagnosis, always check PCV valve operation and look for clogged or collapsed PCV plumbing. When the crankcase vent system isn't working, excessive crankcase pressure can create or aggravate all kinds of leaks.

sounds like the front cover o-ring is leaking.
