Reset throttle position sensor idle position memory

Can't seem to find any direction that don't rely on the "Consult".
Need info on how to accomplish this.

There's a Service Bulletin # NTB99-053b. Here's the link:

I have the Service Bulletin and used it to install the new TPS but at the end of the instructions it says you need to Reset the TPS memory and the instructions use the CONSULT-ll
Were you able to lower the high idle without the CONSULT-ll

Do the procedures anyway #10 - 14 and see if a light illuminate in the instrument cluster. If the light turn on, start engine.

I got it done. I retarded the timing enough to get to 1000 RPM and then followed instructions for ignition timing and everything works fine now. Thanks for the tips

Hi, new here, quick question; what's CONSULT-II? I am having trouble with my wife's 2001 Xterra, and am trying to chase down some issues. Replaced the TPS and now here RPMs skyrocket around 15 mph. Could resetting the TPS do the trick?
