Power door lock
Driver side power door lock works to lock the door but does not unlock the drivers door, it does however unlock and lock all other doors, it is a crew cab 2005, the fob for key less entry works pretty well the same it will lock all the door but will unlock all but the driver's, the key work ok it will lock and unlock all doors, thinking it must be something with the driver door power lock actuator, where would that be and any tip on replacing it.
Thank you much any help is greatly appreciated. |
I would start by removing the drivers side door panel and observe the operation of the lock assy.Sounds like one of the cables has come off.

Cables are on, it works fine to lock, Just does not unlock.

Check for signal from the master window switch to the motor.I have replaced mine twice and no...there is no aftermarket switch that i can find to replace it with.Maybe someone will reply with a good number to fix it with.OEM is junk!

Railwayman,
I had an issue on my 05 after the door lock recall was incorporated. but it didn't act the same way as you've described. I just kept using it and i haven't had a problem for over 1 yr now. However, based on your report it would seem that the unlock circuit needs looked at for the drivers door. Does the pax door switch unlock the drivers door? |
The pax , do you mean passenger switch, if so the passenger switch unlocks everything but the driver's door, it behaves the same as the driver switch. The only way to unlock the driver's door is with the key.

Replace the driver's door actuator and it works like a charm now.
Thanks to all |
