Checking transmission fluid

I have just purchased a 2009 Altima 2.5 sedan and I have been unable to check the automatic transmission fluid level. I know it's location under the hood, but the dip stick, (marked with blue cap) will not release. It seems to have a spring loaded lock that will not open for me. Would appreciate some help in this matter.

Push the tab with a small screwdriver.

Trans

After 100,000 miles I was told they will sample it and still may not need to replace it. It's the CVT trans. I guess.
