2002 Maxima oil pressure sensor

Just brought my car in for a oil change (Tuffy Automotive) and was told I needed a oil pressure sensor. He said its a slow leak while the engine is running and will progressively get worse. He said it was about a 60.00 dollar repair. This sounds like it could be an easy fix for myself to do. Any info on how to do this would be helpful. P.S. Where would it be located?
Thanks

Until a Specialist replies...run your ride up to your local Auto Center (i.e., AutoZone, etc.) and see if you have any stored codes. If you do, let us know and we'll look it up.

From the looks of it the run off from taking the filter off could get it wet as well. I would clean it and the surrounding areas well with some contact cleaner or safety solvent, get it real clean and dry, run it for a day or two and verify that it is the switch leaking.

I cannot get the image to link in here but it is above the pan drain plug to the left of the filter

If you can get under the car you can change that sensor out with little to no effort, that is if it in fact is leaking.

Get the jack out, jack it up at check the oil filter to see if its tight . The sensor is a easy fix but they really dont leak unless someone hits it with a hammer or something else ? I have seen many grease monkeys not tighten up the filter and the are a half a turn from blowing oil out the thin seal . Seen my relative jeep get service at local oil place and they forgot to put oil in it well it lock up right in the parking lot. And it was on a lease so he had to put new bearing in the bottom end .
