Question 2003 Pathfinder radio frequencies...

Hello everybody!

I have recently purchased 2003 Pathy SE 4x4 and there is one thing I'd like to know about built in Bose AM/FM/CD car radio: Is there any possibility to change the FM scan step of 0.2 MHz to 0.1 MHz? My radio scans only odd frequencies starting from 87.9MHz, then 88.1, 88.3, 88.5 etc, up to 107.9MHz. Any radio station on even radio frequency, e.g., 104.8 or 106.0Mhz, the scanning process (auto or manually, it doesn't matter) simply passes...

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Due to the decision of the FCC to have a 0.2 MHz spacing between radio stations, and the fact that in the USA we don't have radio stations ending on even numbers, the radio manufactures sets the radio at the factory to move 0.2MHz. It is actually better, at least for me, to jump 0.2 instead of 0.1 so I don't have to press twice to find the station.

I think the vehicles design for other countries don't have that feature, since there are no regulations like the ones we have here.

Thumbs up Thanks!

I don't know about those FCC regulations because I'm from Serbia and I currently live in Qatar where I have recently purchased the vehicle. Anyway, thank you very much for the help!

Vehicle provenience is North American where the Radio Stations frequences are odd (as you indicated)

In Europe they are even, so if you really, really need to have the radio working there (I'm not sure if Middle East has same freq. as EU), you may have to replace the entire Bose unit...
