Default 1997 LE Spark Plug #6

I'm having trouble removing the cable connected to spark plug #6. My hand reaches, but I can't remove the cable. Is there a tool or does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

in your little roadside tire change kit there is a tool designed specifically to reach the dreaded number 6...otherwise its the right combination of extentions

I was able to change plugs 1-5 with the tools in the kit, but I can't remove the cable connected to plug 6. Is there a better way to pull the cable up?

I was finally able to get the cable off #6. I put a new plug in #6 and now when I turn on the truck it hesitates and turns off. Does anyone know whats wrong?
Last week I replaced plug 1-5 and it was running fine until today when #6 was replaced. HELP!

Forgot to mention that I used Bosch plugs. I was thinking that maybe I should just try putting in NGK. What do you think? Thanks for the help.

I have seen alot of problems with bosch plugs in nissans. Never could really figure out why but they don't seem to run well with them. I would stick with the NGK plugs.

I returned the plugs without any problem and they gave NGK Platinums. After installing the NGK Pla. I still had the same problem. I returned them and got the NGK that Nissan recommends. I installed them and the problem stopped. The manager found it strange that the NGK Pla. gave me a problem and when I told him I have 162000 miles he said that's why. I will now stick to NGK regular. Thank you all for your help.

I need to buy new spark plug wire set. Which ones would you recommend for my 1997 LE pathfinder w/ 165000 miles?

Hmmm... if your still nervous, I'd go with NGK cables. NGK is a Japanese name brand or call a dealer and be prepared to pay big bucks.
