Default Oil Pressure question

My 05 is showing maxed out oil pressure, so I am hoping that it is a sensor gone bad. My husband and I are trying to check the oil pressure manually...what should it be at warm idle? Thanks for your help... We've already looked at the manual, but it is very vague about limits-at what point should we worry?

This problem is almost (if not always) the pressure sending unit.
I couldn't find a test procedure for the sender in the manual (might be there and I just couldn't find it).
But it appears that the only test there is, is for oil pressure.
What are your readings on that compared to the specs?

I wouldn't bother testing the oil pressure as this is a very common problem on 05-06 Pathfinders; just replace the oil pressure sensor. The oil pressure sensor is Nissan P/N: 25070-CD00A. Get your sensor from Nissan as there have been a lot of problems with the aftermarket versions.
