Default 07 pathfinder starting problems

I have a 07 pathfinder LE. If I leave the headlight switch on auto and turn the car off and dont get out and leave the keys in ignition the car wont start and i have to get it jumped. The battery is not weak, it starts all the time even after very cold nights. If I leave it on auto and turn off car and get out the lights will go out automatically and will start fine. The other day my wife was at the gas station forgot to take lights off auto and had to turn on key to put window down. when done getting gas the car would not start just clicking. Had to have it jumped. Any ideas would be great. this is driving me crazy. Thanks.

I haven't heard of this particular problem, yet. I have heard of a lot of weird electrical problems on these vehicles due to poor connections at the battery terminals, due to looseness and/or corrosion.

Default Bacic same on my Pathy

I had my battery load tested, and they found NO problem at all. I had it loaded test at the battery company more than once, same thing No proplem.

I replaced the battery with a New one, NO More problems. Now think on that.

It had to be a strange battery problem, to test good, yet Not work.

I've seen this several times over the 11 years that I've owned both of my R51s, and many, many times at the motorcycle shop that I managed the service dept for. A good test for this is to try jumper cables with a strong battery in cahoots with the battery in the truck that tested good but doesn't function properly.
