Default Rear Glass Gas Lifts

I need to have my Rear Glass Gas Lifts replaced on my R51 Pathfinder. I have found a company that is prepared to re-gas the lifts, but I need the pressure to which it needs to be pumped to. Can anyone assist?

Many thanks.

Freddy

I bought my gas lift for the rear hatch at Nissan , the dealer . They were 9.99 each since they said there was a problem with them .

I might be able to assist: don't "regas". If the gas has leaked out, then you have a leaky seal around the shaft. Even if these can be "refurbished", doubt it would be cost effective.

There are online retailers who have these gas struts in all sizes and pressures, Google them, and contact them.

If dealer ones are only $10, that's a bargain.

A lot of people are replacing their lifts (glass and rear hatch) from McMaster-Carr. I can't remember the numbers; should be a thread on thenissanpath.com that has the part numbers.

Thanks for all the responses. The only reason why I was looking at the "regas" option was because here in South Africa the new lifts from Nissan cost $250.80 each. I have subseqently being looking on Amazon.com and ebay and they are considerably cheaper.
