Default what size and type wrench for a differential oil change 2003 pathfinder

Front differential oil change on 2003 Nissan PATHFINDER
does any one know what size and type hex or square wrench I will need for this type of lube change in the-front and rear differential

My 2001 uses a 1/2" ratchet head. Square. Yours is probably the same.

Thanks gotswdust, did you have any trouble getting the plugs out, theres all kinds of rust around mine, I just squirted some good penetrating oil on the plugs

Not much trouble, even though I live in NE Ohio where snow and salty roads are common during winter. Good penetrating oil like PB blaster should do the trick.

I had to use a short 2" extension on my 1/2" ratchet as my drain plug was slightly recessed. You may need a long handle ratchet or a breaker bar. But it will come off with some leverage.

The fill plug was a little more inaccessible. I threaded a hose from the top of the engine and filled with gravity from the top.

thanks, i have this handy little pump by hand ,it worked great for the transfer case
