Default 2005 Nissan Pathfinder LE , bad bank 2 catalytic converter

Good afternoon,

I am new to this and not mechanically inclined so here it goes: I have a 05 Pathfinder LE with 140K (I am original owner) whose Pathfinder stalled. After doing some research, I discovered it was an issue with the ECM and it was replaced at no cost due to a service bulletin from Nissan. The SES light came on afterwards and has not gone off since. I took car to a shop who replaced the spark plugs and the O2 sensor, yet the SES light still did not go off. (keep in mind I paid for a diagnostic for them to tell me EXACTLY what was going on with my SES light being on ). They then told me that I need my bank 2 catalytic converter changed and it would be about $1K to replace (OUCH). Is this correct or am I getting taken for a ride?

Go here, and buy TWO spacers as your other cat will fail soon as well.

Read my thread about what I did:
