Thickest weight used in 2003 v6 engine
in my owners manual it says to use 5x30 or 10x30 or 10x40 weight oil non synthetic only regular motor oil , I have a wix new oil filter and want to use the thickest oil I can ,has anyone ever tried 15x 40 weight? in a 2003 pathfinder v6 vq35de engine.

Why you want to use the thickest oil? thicker oil may damage the engine and decrease MPG. I wouldn't go over the 10x40.

Probably 10W-30. It all depends how well you have maintain your Pathfinder and how many miles.
If the vehicle is well maintain (oil change every 3750 miles) and low miles, you can use 5W-30. |
