Default 2001 Pathfinder - cabin smell

:( Recently brought my first Nissan...had lotsa problems with a 97 Blazer that I got rid of in September before picking up the Pathfinder. Now that its winter, I'm getting a sweet maple smell in the cabin when heater is on and engine warmed up. I've got a engine collant leak, noted by very slow drop in coolant tank level. The smell is not present when selecting RECIRC with the cabin air flow controller. Don't feel any dampness on the floor rugs below the dash (driver and pax side). Seem to have some film on pax side of windshield that dosen't seem to dry out quickly when using defroster? I believe its probably heater unit problem?

Any other ideas?

Is there any health problems with a leaking heater?

Any one have any knowledge how much a repair would cost?
