Default P1320 Dist signal interupt

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2001 Pathy and have got code P1320. I am wondering if changing the crank position sensors (front and rear) will get rid of this code or do i have to go to the dealer and have them change the distributor box? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Scott

Code P1320 is ignition signal primary. It is usually a bad coil.

I would agree with you, however, I have replaced the "bad" coils. I had a P0306 code and a P0305. I replaced both of these coils and the engine runs great. No stuttering or shuddering. His P1320 code came up after I replaced the coils. I called the local dealer and they said it was probably the distributor box?
I am wondering if the the crank position sensors could cause this code as well?

There is no such thing as a distributor box on that model. Did you use aftermarket coils?
