Default 2002 Pathfinder Oxygen Sensor

Is it easy to replace the Oxygen sensors on my Pathfinder? The dealer wants $700 to replace and I would rather do it myself.

Until a Specialist replies...You might consider downloading your Service Manual Section EC - Engine Control System. It outlines the tools you will need, diagram's, etc. You can find Service Manual - Engine Control 2002 Nissan Pathfinder on http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/Knowledgebase/links/71

Hope this helps...

They can be a little tricky. $700.00 sounds like alot. How many are they replacing and why?

Hi,
I have this same problems, check engine light, then am told both o2 sensors are bad. I'm quoted about $750. Can I replace these myself (I've done a starter myself before), do i need a special tool, or do I have to let a mechanic do it?
Thanks!!!!
Vickie

the factory nissan sensors are pretty expensive. that is why its $750 (for both sensors?)

its not too hard, you need a 7/8" (22mm) socket or wrench.
What code do you have? there are 4 sensors on the car
