About time. Any word about the bad batch of radiators and the transmissions that were effected by them?

Nothing that I have seen yet. I don't believe they are going to do anything with those because it was isolated to the 2005 model only. If the trans. goes bad because of the radiator failure you can still get it covered by the 5 year 60k mile warranty. The dealer just has to code the claim using the transmission as the failed part and nissan will pay for both the transmission and the radiator.

Stupid question.......Does the newly announced CVT extension Warranty transfer to the second, third or tenth owner?
My Wife and I just bought an 06 AWD SE with 52K miles on it 4 days ago. We are the third owners of this Murano. Love the vehicle so far but have been a little afraid of the CVT due to my lack of knowledge. Thanks for the info! Great Resource!

Yes. The warranty stays with the vehicle.

Thanks for the response mpe235! Hopefully the extended CVT warranty is a non-issue for me and I'll never need it!

Thanks for the info mpe235. Will Nissan be notifying owners of the extension or is it a secret warranty.

The memo was sent to dealers in the U.S.
I'm not sure about Canada but I would think they would extend it there also. As far as I know the warranties are pretty close to the same between the 2 countries.

I spoke to a service rep at a Canadian dealership and he mentioned that the CVT warranty has also been extended in Canada to 10 years 200,000KM.
