Dash Disassembly
The CD function in my wife's Murano has gone to hell... it's sounds all distorted and has a fair amount of static in it. Playing the radio itself is fine though - no issues.
I wanted to see if anyone had instructions, preferrably with pictures but i'll take what I can get, as to how to disassemble the dash, IF NECESSARY, to remove the factory CD player. It's a Bose 6 disk changer setup... Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide! |

When removing the radio from the murano it is a good idea to put a rag or towel over the shifter assembly. It is very easy to scratch the plastic finishers when pulling the radio out.

Wowsa - Thanks!

Many thanks for the welcome :) The directions absolutely rock (even if they are a bit scary to think about trying to do/follow). A couple more questions though if you dont mind: 1. I dont have that removal tool though so do you know where I can get one and for how much? 2. What exactly does the damper lock operation do? What's it good for? 3. Since it's only the CD player that is acting strange, do you think it's the laser or something that has gone down the toilet? I guess i'm probably still going to have to go pay the $4 bajillion for new headunit after this is all said and done... grrrrr.... :censored: Last edited by oakley; 08-18-2006 at 03:00 AM. |

Before you buy the Radio unit for $5 trillion, have you check you options? like sending the unit for repair or getting a used unit. Here is placed where you can send the radio for repair: http://www.carstereohelp.com/ BTW check how much they charge for removal instructions :) |
