Murano that won't move and code P0746
Yesterday morning my Mo went into limp mode and threw a P0746 code.
After I parked, it will not move any more, the engine just dies when I put it in gear. I cleared the code but the cvt still is dead. HAs anyone been through this?? I saw the one post that explained what the code means. and posible causes. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and had it fixed. Or can help locating and testing the components like the input and output speed sensors and the cvt solinoids. |

P0746
Here is what is in the Nissan Repair Manual for P0746. The dealer does have some repairs for the CVT solenoid and then they reprogram the ECM. Most likely, they will have to see your Murano.

I own a 2004 Murano that is now at the dealer awaiting special attention from a tech rep . I believe I have the same problem , when you put it into drive and step on the gas pedal it dies . i noticed this problem and notified the dealer approximatley 4 months after i purchased it. the dealers said it was that I had not been used to driving this new type of transmission. it was noted and today i am glad I brought it too their attention. the service tech said i need a new trans at approx 4500 to 5 thousand. does this sound right to any of you out there!!!!!

Sounds like your problem started slow! Mine was always fine and then went to never moving again within 20 miles. The Dealer told me that they have very little info on these trannies, they checked the solinoid pack then ordered a new trans. Just got it back thursday. Rolling again!!
