P0011 code on 2006 Murano
Our 2006 Nissan Murano SL AWD started making a rattling noise the other day and it also started feeling a little sluggish. My wife took it to Auto Zone and they pulled up a P0011 code on the OBD II tester with explanations of; Description: Intake valve timing (IVT) control circuit failure. Probable causes;
1. Control solenoid open or shorted 2. Cam/crank sensors out of phase. 3. Dirt build up at control valve. From the way it was driving, (and me not being a mechanic), I thought it might have something to do with the exhaust or catyletic converter, but it showed this code when she took it there. What is the most probable cause and how is it corrected? I am disabled and on a very fixed budget, any help would be greatly appreciated. |
When was the last time you change the engine oil and filter? dirty or low engine poil can also cause this problem.
