Default strange squealing sound

Im noticing a high pitched squealing sound coming from what seems like the passenger side front tire. being that ive only had the car 4 months(2011 sl) i know it cant be in need of new breaks.

i seem to only hear it after the car has been sitting for a number of hours(basically hear it during the first drive of the day) and only for about 50 feet. not when breaking, only when coasting or low acceleration. its the exact sound you would hear if you needed your breaks changed. i dont hear it if i go about say 20 mph and i only seem to hear it for about 50 ft worth of driving... any ideas?

I never had that problem before, and as you mention, I don't think the problem either. The only thing I can't that can cause that problem is a road debris or a bent rotor backing plate. Take it to the dealer, they should be able to fix that problem under warranty.

took it to the dealer and asked them to check on it while i got my oil change. they had one of the mechanics take a ride with me and of course the car didnt make a peep. i described to him when i heard the sound and where it seemed to be coming from... and he asked if i let the car warm up b4 driving, and i told him no. and he had like this aha look. and i said come on.. warming up cars is for olddd cars.. this is a 4 month old car and its 60+ degrees outside. he said it could be the belt and let the car warm up. I'm not sure what to think anymore.

Had similar experience with my 2006 Murano when it had approx. 15k mile( year old) . Whenever I back out of the garage or get out of parking lot after the car had sat for awhile I hear squeaking / strange sound . Was not sure if it was break or what so I had my hubby listen while I was backed out of garage. He said it was the breaks. Took it to dealer to check it out. They told me similar reason they told you... " When car ( break ) is cold squeaking normally happens..yadayada..." So I went to an independent mechanic he said need new breaks. Finally my husband looked online and found a TSB for said squeaking breaks for the Murano. Went back to dealer and told them about a TSB for said breaks and they finally fixed it.
Sorry can remember the TSB # but you should check it out. Good luck.
