Default Gear Selector Lockout

I have had an intermitent gear selector lockout problem occuring for several weeks. When the car is running, I cannot get the car out of the park position unless I depress the lock button next to the gear selector. Now it does it all the time. Any Ideas/thoughts? Thanks

Welcome to Nissanhelp.com!

You may have a stop light switch problem. If you do not hear a click by the shifter area when the brake pedal is depress, then most likely is the switch.
