First timer - trying to install Sirius
Hi there, My wife purchased a 2007 Murano S. Came with stock (non-bose) stereo. I checked under the drivers side rear seat and the connector for the satelite was there. So I purchased a tuner from another forum member as well as the antenna. I plugged the white connector into the tuner and ran the antenna. I turned on the radio and nothing was showing up on the display to indicate there was any satelite connection. I tried all the buttons and nothing changed - just am/fm/cd.
Now there is no SAT button on my stock stereo but there is a CAT button. I was told this would work and I figured because the white connector was there it would. The guy who sold it to me said that possibly there is a connector behind the stereo that isnt connected to the stereo. Does anyone know if this could be the case? I dont think I can see behind it without pulling it and I would rather not pull the stereo if there is no chance of there being a connector. Thanks for any help anyone can give. Oh and the installation manual on this site is priceless. Thanks so much. |

Did you bolt the tuner down? Some of them ground through the case and will not work unless they are bolted to something metal.
