This afternoon my engine light came on. I checked the Fuel Cap and it is on properly. I did get my oil changed last week but the Maintenance OIL light was not re-set until today. Does this have anything to do with the ENGINE LIGHT?

It shouldn't, I suggest getting the code stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM) to have a clue what is the problem. Some auto parts stores and independent shop will read the code free for you.
