Default My 2003 Spec V

Hey Everyone,
when i realy got into the car scene awhile back i was driving a 2000 grand prix gtp which i loved but and was adding some things hear there to it but the car's life came to an end one day when i got T boned at a stop sigh. so after some short time i did some reaserch on what i wanted. i didnt want a honda cuz of the abundace of them out there..i wanted something that was 4 door...never liked 2 doors, something that was all ready quick from the get go and looked good. i like the 03 msp. but at the time they were hard to find used for a decent price. then i saw the sentra spec v one day and test drove one and liked it. but at the time my credit was kinda bad and i wasnt able to get the loan. so a few months went by i saved up alot of money and then one day i stiopped in at fred beans nissan in doylestown and talked with this guy andrew in sales and told him what i was lookin for. a day or so later he calls me and tells me hes got an 2003 sentra spec v with only 20k on the odometer. i didnt think much of the yellow at first before seeing it first hand but when i did it was an instand buy. i love my car i plann on holding on to this as long as i possibily can. with a long mod list and big plans i cant wiat to finish it.
as of right now September 2008 the mods arent much now but its coming along little by little:
aem short ram intake
dc sport 4-2-1 headers w/ magnaflow hi-flow cat
magnaflow cat back exhaust
smoked tails
hid 4300k bi-xenon
tinted windows 35% all around
TST, JSC Speed Decals and AEM on rear windows
future mods:
TEIN SS coils
sway bars
4 pt tie bar
trunk strut tower brace.
frame braces
then a complete engine build:
Cams, BSR kit,SFAC,..the whole 9 and Turbo
when i first got it: end of summer 06'

march 07'
Window Tint

April 5th 2008 JNZ Dyno Day @ Philly Dyno Works:
It was my first time getting my car on the dyno. with only having intake and exhaust it made 144whp and 159wtq. so the numbers were not to bad for only have 2 mods. next time i plan on going on the dyno im gonna have header sfac II and wideband meter and maybe some more to help get the numbers higher. next run im going for 175whp or more.

long over due update:
July 2008: Broken Mirror
the pic speak for them selfs. a semi on the turnpike at the mid county tolls while the road being jammed came up real close and clipped it off.

August 2008: Apexi SAFC2 Install

i picked this up off of Talontsi97 for a really decent price. the unit itself was like brand new. no marks or anything and i wouldnt hesitate to buy off him again. during the install we ran into some problems so we just closed the maf loop with a wire. i played around with it and got tired of not being to figure it out so i took it to the Pro's at R/T Tuning to help fix it. its working like a charm now.

Spotted DPancoast!

September 2008: Problems
i had the terrible expericnce of the butterfly power valve screws coming loose in my motor. i tore down the intake plenum to find 2 screws and a plate totally missing. i took off the intake runners and found the plate in the runner but the screws worked them selfs into the pre-cat and these cars hate their pre-cats. so this caused that to fail out as well. so i sent the car to nissan to have a further inspection done, they reassembled everything, performed a compression test and leak down test and got very good numbers.

September 2008: DC Sport 4-2-1 Header System

so after fixing the problems i had with the car, my pre cat was wasted. so i ordered a set of dc sport headers and pick up a magnaflow hi-flow cat to weld into the test pipe peice so i would be legal for pa. so now i have cleared all the issue spots i was having and everything is back to the way it was if not better.
please feel free to flame away for the cell phone pics.

so thats where i currently am with the car. im planning on getting it tuned next month at RT Tuning so ill post pics and my graphs when i get them.
enjoy!

I hope some of our Sentra owners look at your picks and see for themselves what the power valve screws/butterfly valves look like and can learn what can happen when they make there way into there engine. Great looking car!
