Talking Maxima '03 GLE - Flashing A/T Light

I have a question regarding a flashing "A/T" light on my dashboard after starting the engine. It flashes for like 8 secs and then go away. Does anyone know what it does and if it's serious and needs to be brought in? Thanks everyone!

Thanks VPNavy! I saw that in the service manual. I noticed it didn't affect the cars driving ability and I spoke with a Nissan Service Rep, and he said as long as it doesn't stay on, I can wait till the 60k service. Just wondered what of the transmission could be the problem. Thanks for all your help and quick response!

Hello I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE automatic tranny my AT light recently started flashing, but only when I try to crank the car on and it won’t start only then will my light start to flash. Sometimes it starts right up and drives normal I had the car scanned and I have no codes

When you get the no start situation, try starting the engine on "Neutral"

If the light is flashing, there should be a code stored in the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
