Default Same service here as at the Dealer!

I need your help. I have a code of P0505 which I replaced the Idle air control valve and it still will sit there and when it warms up it will idle for about 3 seconds then it will die. What is it?? Read my other post "it won't Idle" Thanks......

Did the p0505 code come back after replacing the IACV? You may need an ecm. That car has eclectronic motor mounts. They short out and ruin the ecm. The circuit for the motor mounts runs right next to the iacv circuit so if burns out both circuits. You will want to unplug the motor mounts before you change the ecm ( leave them unplugged).

If you have not cleared the code you should do that first and then have the idle air volume reset.

OK. This morning I cleared the code and tried to learn idle but as soon as I was about to put the throttle sensor back on, it died. I looked at the connector for the ecm and the mounts are 49 and 50. The iacv is 16, 17, 18, so not next to these. Why are they shorting out when the mounts short?

The circuits inside the ecm on the circuit board run next to each other. You won't find this in the manual. This is a known issue. See this bulletin Knowledgebase - Nissanhelp.com it does not tell you about the iacv problem but it does explain the motor mount problem. You won't find the information about the iacv circuit any other place but nissan tech support.
