Default Transmission ????

:( 2000 Maxima - The plugs, battery and starter were all bad or in need of change so I decided to also change the trans fluid. I used Dex III as recommended and also added Lucas Trans Stabilizer (1/2 bottle) as well. Now there is a constant whine in the trans when the car is shut off like a little motor is running. I thought it might be the new starter but after checking this out (removed the wires) the sound remained.

What is the sound? Could it be caused by improper fluid level? Did I do somethig wrong?

It is probably a motor mount that is shorted out. I would unplug both electical connectors for the mounts. When they go bad they also tend to destroy the ecm ans IACV.

I agree with mpe235, Nissan is having a lot of problems with the engine mounts
