Default New alternator now trip odometer clears

The alternator in my 2000 maxima went bad. I had NTB replace it because I was 440 miles from home with no tools. Now the clock and security light do not work and when I turn the car off the trip odometer clears. Any ideas why before I pay an auto electric shop to troubleshoot?

I would start by checking all of the fuses.
