2000 maxima stalls when put in drive or reverse
2000 maxima was stalling as soon as you put it in reverse for about a week, then finally stalled in drive also. feels like a standard transmission if you do not push in clutch stopping at a light. can it be motor mounts, torque convereter solenoid, or torque converter?

How is the transmission fluid level and condition? when was the last time you change the fluid?

fluid was changed a few months ago. idle good per specs. motor mount under battery tray looks bad. i am an ASE master tech, but trans not my specialty. rebuilt my share of them, just wondering if this problem happens often to maximas. feels like a manual trans when you drive up to a light without pushing clutch in, thats what this feels like.( i got the revs up a bit and put it in gear and it stalled right out like there was something holding the flywheel or trans ) Bad converter, solenoid, something else? rebuild kit installed, torque converter will be new, just dont want to install and have same problem.
