Why no flush on tranny fluid?
**********
Someone recommended that automatic tranny fluid on high mileage maximas should only be drained and refilled with fresh fluid. No flushing recommended. I would suspect that the reason could be that a minute particle could be dislodged and end up in an undisirable location. Anybody know what the thinking is on this? My '01 maxima now has 194,000 miles and is soon due for a tranny fluid change. |

On a drain and refill, does that also mean replacing the filter inside the pan?
