Default Battery light and brake light in dash

2004 Maxima SE 72,500 kms Has anyone experience this before? My brake light and battery light both came on and then they went out and my check engine came on. The check engine was repaired, O2 sensor. The next day the batt and brake light on again, checked amps, everything charging. Put in a new battery yesterday, ran for about 10 minutes, suprise, lights back on.
ANY TIPS anyone

Very typical when the alternator needs to be replaced.

Could be a bad alternator but I would check the negative battery cable first. The cable goes from the battery terminal and bolts to the inner fender below the battery tray and then to the transmission case. The connection at the transmission case corrodes and becomes disconnected from the transmission. This can cause several different problems.

Yes. Check if very carefully and if all is fine then the alternator is the next thing to check.

Default brake & battery light on

both my brake & battery light came on at the same time. It goes on then off. I had my alt replaced 8 months ago. could it be anything else? Excessive rain today, that's when it started...could it be a little wet, would that cause that to happen??

Most of the time it's a bad alternator. You have to check your battery and connections, the fusible link for the alternator and the circuit between it and the back of the alternator to be sure. If it's an aftermarket reman alternator, many are poorly rebuilt and tend to be problematic. Genuine Nissan reman alternators are more expensive, but the quality is much better.
