Default Questions About Rims & Tires

I used to have disposable income but now I have a 2004 Maxima SE with the 245/45-R18 tires.

I have an opportunity to purchase a set of snow tires with only 2,000 miles on them from the owner of a 2004 Maxima SL. The tire size for the SL is 225/55/17.

Will the rims and tires from an SL fit on my SE?

Is there anything about which I need to be concerned?

I understand I can expect a change in performance and a notable loss of coolness. But I’m a 47 year old dad and I really don’t need to be pulling 2 G’s around corners when I go to the grocery store to buy milk.

Thanks for your input. If anybody needs me I’ll be over here hiking my pants up to my armpits and telling those darn kids to stay off my lawn.

They should work fine.
