Default Blower Motor Stopped Working

Blower motor doesn't work on my 2003 Maxima. The electronic controller shows demand with 1,2,3 and 4 blades, but nothing comes out of blower. I did the troubleshoot per the manual pages HA-94 to 100 and the only parameter out was the voltage for step 7 CHECK POWER SUPPLY FOR AUTO AMP showed 12 volts. The the book says if yes, replace the auto amp. I see that most posts attribute the fan amp as the culprit, so I just wanted to make sure it is the auto amp before I shell out such large coin. Fuses check fine and blower also check fine when direct wired.
