2002 Nissan Maxima GLE HElp!
I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima GLE and it starts fine but once I put the car in reverse and try to back out the engine dies. If I let the car sit and warm up for a couple of minutes it usually does okay, but there are times when the engine will die when I am driving on the road and start back up again. Does anybody know what can be causing this?

I suggest starting by performing the idle self learning procedure.
Idle Air Volume Learning 1. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 1 second. 2. Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds. 3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature. 4. Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds. 5. Start the engine and let it idle for at least 30 seconds. 6. Disconnect throttle position sensor harness connector (brown), then reconnect it within 5 seconds. 7. Wait 20 seconds. 8. Make sure that idle speed is within specifications. If not, try again. 9. Rev up the engine two or three times. Make sure that idle speed and ignition timing are within specifications.
