Thumbs down 95 max no signals/tail lights -keep blowin 7.5 amp fuse

Whenever the headlights are on and I try the turn signals, the 7.5 amp fuse blows and I lose my tail lights and turn signals...Hazards work fine. Before I tear the thing apart looking for a short, does anyone have any ideas?

Sorry no one got back to you yet.

Until some does - I would try take a close look at the connectors going to both your headlights and turn signal lights and look for corrosion, etc. It sure sounds like a short. By any chance - do you have trailer wiring on your ride?

thanks for the reply...no trailer and the connections look fine at the turn signals...haven't tried the headlights since they don't seem to be affected. I ordered the turn signal switch yesterday so I'll let you know once I install it.

do the headlights have to be on in order to pop the fuse? does it matter which direction (turn) you operate the switch to pop the fuse?
