-REVISED- VARIOUS NISSAN MODELS; REVISED WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS
For the Applied Vehicles, some wheel alignment specifications listed in the Front Suspension (FSU) and Rear Suspension (RSU) sections of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) have been revised.
2016-2017 NISSAN MAXIMA, ALTIMA; POP/CLUNK NOISE FROM REAR WHEN DRIVING OVER BUMPS
A pop or clunk noise from the rear of the vehicle, especially when driving over bumps,
AND
The rear suspention connecting rod nuts are found to be loose on the left and/or right side.
-REVISED- 2016-2017 NISSAN MAXIMA; NOISE HEARD WHEN LEANING BACK IN A FRONT SEAT
A creaking or squeak type noise is heard when sitting in either front seat and leaning back into the lower portion of the seatback.
-REVISED- 2016 NISSAN MAXIMA; OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM RETROFIT
The information in this bulletin is provided for customers who have concerns with their vehicle’s Occupant Classification System (OCS) operation after all campaigns have been completed.
-REVISED- VARIOUS NISSAN MODELS; DTC P0456 CAUSED BY EVAP LEAK AT VENT CONTROL VALVE O-RING
The MIL is ON in an APPLIED VEHICLE with DTC P0456 (EVAP VERY SML LEAK)
AND
DTC P0456 is not caused by a loose fuel fill cap (refer to NTB13-097).
An EVAP leak has been detected where the vent control valve mounts to the canister.
The vent control valve O-ring seal is determined to be the cause.
-REVISED- VARIOUS NISSAN MODELS; OIL LEAKING AROUND VALVE TIMING CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE
Engine oil is leaking from a valve timing control solenoid valve,
And
The valve timing control solenoid valve operates correctly and is not externally damaged.
VARIOUS NISSAN MODELS; THEFT ALARM SOUNDS WHEN VEHICLE IS LOCKED, UNLOCKED, OR DOOR/TRUNK OPENED
Intermittently, the theft alarm triggers (horn sounds and lights flash) when one of the following occurs:
Using the lock, unlock, or trunk open function on the Intelligent Key
Pushing a handle request switch (door or trunk)
Opening a door or the trunk with the vehicle unlocked
2016-2017 NISSAN MAXIMA; RUST AROUND REAR LICENSE LAMP FINISHER
When rust is found on the rear deck lid surface in the area surrounding the license lamp finisher, or when replacing the license lamp finisher for any reason.
2013-2017 ALL NISSAN MODELS; CLEANING FRONT OR REAR COMBINATION LAMP ASSEMBLIES
When cleaning the “Front Combination Lamp” (Headlight housing) or “Rear Combination
Lamp” (Taillight housing) assemblies:
Use only a mild soap (special vehicle soap or general purpose dishwashing liquid), mixed with clean lukewarm (never hot) water.
Use a sponge or soft rag.
DO NOT USE:
Strong household soap, strong chemical detergents, gasoline or solvents.
