Default New Juke gone bad

Hi, hope someone can shed some light

I bought my Juke mid Dec 2011 and 6 weeks down the line it came to a complete stop and no amount of jump starting could get it going. The dealer put it down to a severed earth wire due to a factory fault. Since then i have experienced intermittend malfunction of the inteligent key system which results in the vehicle not switching off, and once it does switch off, the vehicle wont lock. I was of the opinion that the ECU received a spike during the jumpstart process, but now it seems that the dealer wants to replace the BCM.. very confused
