newbie with 1985 720 truck
hey how ya'll doin? i just bought a 1985 720 truck, it's 2 wheel drive, just looking for more information about the truck and any problems people has had with them, right now we are going to be replacing the head gaskets and most likely brakes with in the next few weeks... any words of advice would be great

lol yup in fact i pulled the truck out of the ditch about an hour ago, got stuck in creeping sand on a dirt road, with my '02 ford taurus

Great trucks
Bought my 720 4x4 new in '85. Now have 265,000 miles on orginal motor, carb, front end, rear end, transfer case. Only the tranmission has been rebuilt. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Couldn't ask for a better rig.

I am new to the group(today) and so far I like what I have seen.
Regarding your 1985 720, I had a 1994 that I just sold 2 years ago. It had over 200K Mi, and still ran great and used one Qt. of Oil every 1500 Miles. Toughest truck I have ever owned. (Four Wheel drive) The only things I replaced on the Truck were Ball Joints,Head Lights,Muffler,Fuel Pump,Fuel Pump relay,Tires, and regular maint items. Now have a 1997 720 and so far so good. It has 80 K Mi. on it and gets 23-26 MPG for all around driving. Good quality of Nissan Convinced me to buy a new Car for my Wife this fall.
