Default 4 cyl. 4wd pickup

With fuel prices at record levels do you think Nissan should bring back a 4wd 4cyl. pickup?

I would prefer Nissan to increase fuel efficiency on all their vehicles, rather than isolate it to just a few. I mean if "they" want to help us out by producing a 4 cyl., 4wd pickup, take the time and improve some of their current models first. You don't have to limit "economy" to only the hybrid and smaller models. The technology is there to increase the numbers for all models.

4 cyl. engine? Yes, is good for some areas, but here in California don't have a market. The 4 cyl were last ones to sold at the dealer.

Alot of people I know that own trucks don't really use them as trucks. They buy these gas guzzlers to maybe pick up a sheet of plywood or something small at the hardware store. A 4cylinder truck would accomplish the job they are using their v8 trucks for at a much lower cost.

My last truck was a '96 Nissan PU 4x4 Extended cab 4 cylinder. I put 172,000 miles on it before I sold it. I upgraded to a 2004 Frontier Crew Cab 6 Cylinder.

I kept the old truck in great shape and kept up with the maintenance but, I have to say, I think I'm getting about the same mileage....maybe even better than with the 4 cylinder truck!
